August 9th : An Early Birthday Celebration

The weather today was no joke like I could fry an egg on the street. Is this life in Equator City? *exaggerating* Anyway it's my birthday tomorrow and I managed to have an early birthday celebration with some old friends. Yeah old friends. If you' re following my instagram there's actually a picture of us I posted few months ago with tons of words I just really really really really really had to say. (No, I'm not a Carly Rae Japsen fan). We've known each other since we were chair mates during elementary school years that knew nothing except being together, playing and having fun. It's been more than a decade now and counting (How impressive T_T). Has it ever crossed your mind just how weird a friendship is?

As I am NEW in writing, every blog post I wrote (so far I have 3 yay!) had taken me so much time to compose the first few sentences. It's rather hard to think what to write first as the opening before I write the main topic. And the worst is, tons of English vocabularies faded away from my brain as soon as I finished college so I'm literally forgetting everything. Gotta write more to get them stored back in my brain. Then once I had the idea what to write, I started talking crap too. :/

Okay. Why an early 'party' (I don't like referring it as a party though)? Actually I planned to have three small separated celebrations with three groups of friends. I could have gathered them all on the same day but I thought it wouldn't be effective in terms of communication? It's not that I don't treat people equally but having many (10-15) people gathered all at once means I can't talk and listen to everyone all at once too. I have to neglect this group while talking to the others, then the rest gonna be busy with their own gadgets. Am I right? No? Prove me wrong :P. Hm .. Maybe I will try that next year ... maybe.

Today's event took place at Delicious Bites, a 'brand new' (hey they just opened few months ago okay) restaurant in town. Eh, let me tell you ... currently the growth of restaurant and café is on its peak in Pontianak like a trend now. I swear we have new ones almost every month (do we sound fabulous? LOL). You know nowadays the girls love to dress up , eat at a cool/cozy restaurant, take a photo and post it on instagram so ..... yeah .

Just FYI or let this be a quick review : the restaurant was quite good despite not having enough air-conditioners. It was way TOO HOT, HOT DAMN. *dances*. Foods were delish and drinks were nice. Everything was served attractively and in pretty drinking glasses as well. Another important note for the girls, you can snap insta worthy pictures.
