It all started in April when I saw Running Man event on facebook. Actually I hardly ever logged in to facebook (I hate it....) and it got even worse for the past few years when adulthood attacked. I'd check it only once in 3 months or so. For someone who neglected her FB account, it was my destiny to have found out the news, I think.. *lol*

I got so excited when I knew they were going to give away a pair of Running Man shoes for 7 winners and 2 pairs of socks for 77 participants. Honestly, I was VERY optimistic of winning a pair. *shameless* I told myself that if I didn't win the shoes, I'd definitely get 2 pairs of socks. So yeah, despite how average-looking the photos I posted were, I was certain about getting either of them. *again, shameless* 

I did prove myself right. I won ............. the socks. *sobs*  (Ladies, this is why you shall not put your hopes up and get attached *cough*...) You know how it felt like when you had spent weeks checking their facebook page waiting for the announcement only to see your name not written in the list of winners. I was so sad literally to have lost my only chance to get the shoes but at the same time I was happy I won the socks. Better than nothing, yes? HAHA.

Two days after that, RM facebook team made another event entitled "Sudden Capture Event" where you had to take screenshots of Running Man shoes as seen in ep. 295 with the main prize: shoes. I had another hope.

That time I was obsessed with coloring and decided to make an "R" letter on my Secret Garden coloring book for photo purpose even though I knew clearly it will NOT affect the result later on.  I enjoy coloring so why not make it more fun and challenging, right? This is why I only posted few pictures because ...... too much time spent on coloring day and night (I once colored until 2am) that my neck and upper body hurt so much. I only had one week before the event ended therefore I gotta color as much as I could in a day. I spent 4 / 5 days to get it done. No joke, it wasn't that easy and took so much time, energy and patience. I truly didn't expect much from my photos though as I knew many others also worked hard to win.

And the result did not disappoint me no more.

Maybe I was lucky, maybe it was my pictures, or maybe SBS appreciated my hard work but the thing is I am totally honored that they picked me as one of the 7 winners. T_T It means soooooo much for a fan like me to have received official shoes from her all-time-favorite variety show. I mean, can you imagine how amazing it is?

Frankly speaking, the shoes are pricey (for me) but I can still afford them with my own money without joining the event. Would I be happy? Yes. But, would I be as happy as if I got them directly from SBS? Absolutely not! Look, it's not about how these shoes are so damn cool or how I wanted them so bad I got them for free. The thing I am most excited about is, how I was chosen by SBS out of God-knows-how-many people joined the event. How they carefully observed every picture and mine was chosen among approximately 1,000+ photos posted online. How they gave me a chance to own the shoes. How they e-mailed me regarding my shoe size because they didn't receive the e-mail I sent them in the first place. How I may choose any color I like. How I sent  them my address and every information needed personally.  How they read my long ass e-mail and replied to it saying they appreciated a fan like me. How they even THANKED me. They have millions of fans out there and I was one of very few lucky people to have been given such beautiful present, personally. It's like once-a-lifetime opportunity! How can I not squeal in excitement? You know, the entire process I won't have to go through If I buy them online with a single click. It is what makes me happiest. Man, I feel so freaking special. *tears*

You know what? Come to think about it again, I was even luckier because in the end I won both the shoes and socks. But, as of today I haven't received the socks yet and I really don't mind at all. I know I could just e-mail them if I wanted to but hey I won the shoes already lah why still need to ask for the socks? Greedy or what? Lol. I'm already happy with my shoes!!*----* I think they just forgot to deliver the first prize since I won twice, not to mention they had many stuffs to ship to different parts of the world.

Of course, I love them shoes so much to the point I've received them for 4 months now but haven't worn them not even once I tell ya!! This is just how much I love them. *blushes* They're still brand new, in perfect condition and I put them in the box just like how I received them 4  months ago. I don't have the heart yet to see them get dirty anytime soon. I wonder if I ever will though. T-T I think I would've worn them if it wasn't from SBS!! *lol*

Finally, I'm gonna repeat this again: THANK YOU SO MUCH SBS RUNNING MAN. Thank you for the present, for the amazing show and for your existence. I hope the whole team and members do well always! I can't imagine if one day I have to see your last episode. T-T So please please please keep filming more episodes despite the not-so-good ratings in Korea. You have millions including me who support you, okay? Fighting!!♡

I haven't been active for the past few months for some stupid reason other than not having something to blog about. But here I am now, dragging my ass all the way to blogger.com. I cannot even promise to keep this blog updated because my mood's swinging like Miley's wrecking ball, so yeah I will update only when I feel like it. LOL. I do have exciting news (for me) or what I've been doing, etc that I'd like to share here, but not now. 

I've been to Japanese restaurants only, I can count on my fingers, 3 times in my life. My first visit was 8 years back during an All You Can Eat event at a mall which, I can clearly recall that I didn't touch a single uncooked food or food with 'strange' ingredients. Raw food especially was rare, uncommon, though edible. As a person who's not familiar  with that type of food like me, I find it .... nasty. *no offense*

Now, as you can easily find Japanese food in town, even at those non-Japanese restaurants, the food served varies and has been modified in order to suit the local tongue. For instance, sushi, this undoubtedly popular dish from Japan is originally made of slices of raw seafood, complemented with fruits and vegetables wrapped in a piece of nori all together with rice. The idea of sushi still remains the same, all ingredients wrapped in a piece of dried sea weed (or without). However, the local who grew up eating cooked food all their lives might not be used to the taste of the fresh and nutritious yet raw seafood. Thus, it's been changed to cooked chicken, fish, shrimp, sausage, etc sometimes topped with chicken floss instead of fresh fish eggs. What can I say? Everyone enjoys sushi. But not me.

I refuse to eat sushi no matter what is wrapped behind that fishy nori because for me, the authentic sushi's the one rolled with raw Salmon and all. I don't think I could eat one though. How can you expect me to eat raw fish, ah? *culture shock* (man, I don't even eat raw vegetables.......) In summary, I've since promised myself that I won't eat it unless I happen to visit Japan.  *dying to go to Japan* LOOOOL. Well, who knows? I mean, yaaaaah how could you not  grab one if you went to Japan? Yup, obviously. This ends the talk of sushi here.

Last week was my third visit to a Japanese restaurant, Sushi Phe. (It's not a new one lah, it's just me...). Thankfully, they served other foods besides ... you know what I mentioned just now. Too bad, they only served around 10 (or less) 'edible' foods that I'd willingly shove to my mouth and take the time to digest. Chicken Teriyaki with miso soup was my choice.

It wasn't bad or one of the most delicious foods I've tasted either. Let's start with the soup.

The visual look reminded me of that opaque noodle broth I tried in Singapore. It looked, smelled and tasted exactly the same, not that savory. It was a bit smelly lah .. I guess it came from the bones but I can't tell what. They also added some vegetable in it and were kind-hearted enough to add in a single tiny piece of tofu.........LOL. Why only one tiny piece eh?

The chicken was well cooked and rather soft unlike how chicken breast must be, you know. But for the taste, it was just .. mediocre. A bit sweet, almost bland. I strongly believe that it would taste much better if they put MUCH MORE teriyaki sauce in it. Look! The amount of sauce was just enough to give color to the chicken lah, can barely taste it. I was expecting it to come up with a special sauce to dip in the chicken.  *so Indonesian* Nothing was provided though so I asked for chilly sauce. I enjoy my food better with a touch of spiciness.

Sushi Phe's totally recommended for those who enjoy sushi  in many ways, cooked or uncooked (they must be specialized in sushi if you notice from the name). Judging from the various sushi offered, you won't regret coming here. Otherwise, you might consider coming as they don't serve food like udon, ramen, sukiyaki and so on.

Another actual fact of myself : I have always loved reading. It's so addictive and entertaining! When I was a kid I loved to read folklore and fairy tale you could find in your Bahasa Indonesia textbooks. I guess,  the age of 11 was when my love for reading started to grow even bigger. Here goes the story. Back then, there was a comic book rental just exactly next to my school. I could rent up to 15 comics per day, finish them in 2 or 3 days and rent another 15 that the staffs remembered my membership number (I was crazily obsessed with Japanese mangas). I'm quite sure I've read more than 50 titles or even a hundred. My favorite series was Mirumo de Pon. :3 As for novels, I didn't read them that much as a KID of course since they got no handsome Japanese boys in it. HAHA! *crazy 11 yo* 

In spite of my love for reading, I've only bought my own books twice. Those are Michel Jackson autobiography, Moonwalk and a biography by his brother, Jermaine, You Are Not Alone. Others were either rented or borrowed from a friend.

I'm lucky to have a fellow who shares the same hobby as me and good news is, he collects good books! I borrowed 4 novels (actually I would not borrow if he never offered me to in the first place *afraid of spoiling his babies lah*) that I've finished reading. I highly recommend them to those who are looking for a good book. ^^ I listed them in sequence of which I read first down below :

An old novel published in 1943 that tells about a boy who once loved drawing but because the adults mistakenly interpret it and tell him to set aside drawing, he then gave up and grew up being a pilot. One day, his plane crashes in a desert where he meets a boy from another planet whom he refers to as the little prince. The little prince's a boy who travels from one planet to another and lands on Earth.

It's a very educative book and contains so much moral value for children and adults to learn. On the other hand, I found the story not THAT interesting and personally, I don't like how the story's told from two different first-person points of view, the man and the little prince (it focuses more on the little prince though). I got somewhat confused and had to re-read some parts as the point of view changed. Moreover, it doesn't have that kind of climax that surprise me and make me go 'WOAH!" or "OMG!". The book's not so thick, lots of pictures included to help describing the object and atmosphere of the story. Overall, I rate this 3 / 5.

Published in 1959, a masterpiece that has won numerous awards and critics. It's a controversial novel and actually got banned in some countries. I kinda lost my respect for the main character, Humbert Humbert, though *that's how deeply immersed I am when I read* on how he loves young children, sees them in sexual ways and how he marries a woman because he falls in love with her daughter whom he refers to as Lolita and even has sex with the teenage Lolita (controversial enough?). Written in memoir format, it's such a great book and each page got me wondering what's gonna happen next.

I think I can only reveal these 4 here, the rest is kinda private issues so it'll be better to keep em for myself. :D

1. Reduce my nagging habit. I wish to be more patient and calm, try to control my emotions and stop scolding people if possible but it seems very unlikely though. lol
2. Care more about family-related issues, spend more time with family, people that matter.
3. Eat more and gain weight (it's just as hard as losing weight, man).
4. Stop thinking way too much.
5. Stop procrastinating, be more active and confident.
6. Give extra care to physical health.
7. Save more money for my dream trips and stuffs.
8. Tooth extraction ( again, I'm gonna have to deal with dentist this year *cries*)
9. Blog more :D
